Machine extinguishing systems
Every machine, regardless of how modern and technologically advanced it is, can become a source of serious danger if it is not properly secured. A minor malfunction, overheating, short circuit or the presence of flammable materials is enough to cause a fire. And yet, a fire within a single machine can bring the entire production to a halt in a matter of moments, endangering the lives of employees and causing costly downtime. Detection systems are one thing, but only automatic machine extinguishing provides real protection.
For years, we have been supporting industrial plants in creating and implementing systems that can detect threats and respond before humans even notice the first signs of fire. Thanks to our experience in working with machines from various industries and our knowledge of safety standards, we design solutions that really work – quickly, effectively and locally. Because a fire extinguishing system is not just technology – it is a safeguard for people, equipment and processes that must operate safely every day.

What are machine extinguishing systems and when do we really need them?
In many workplaces, the risk of fire begins with a seemingly harmless situation – an overheated engine, sparks, a short circuit in a switchboard or dust accumulating in a machine housing. And although most plants have general fire safety procedures in place, in an emergency, response time is crucial – measured in seconds, not minutes. That is why fire extinguishing systems are used, which react automatically, without the need to activate alarms throughout the plant or human intervention. These are local security systems, installed directly in machines or in their vicinity – designed to detect a threat and suppress it immediately.
Importantly, these solutions are not reserved only for large chemical or pharmaceutical plants. They are increasingly being implemented by companies in the food, wood, automotive and plastics industries – wherever flammable materials, live electrical work or intensive machine operation are present. In the case of CNC machine tools, electrical switchboards or dust extraction systems, even a small fire can have very costly consequences. The fire extinguishing system allows you to respond on site – quickly, effectively and without interrupting the entire production process.
Effective machine protection – targeted response where the danger begins
At Atex Consulting, we focus on solutions that respond precisely and locally, without triggering unnecessary procedures throughout the entire plant. We install machine extinguishing systems that operate directly in areas where the risk of fire is highest – in CNC machine tools, electrical switchboards, dust extraction systems and hydraulic systems. The fire extinguishing system does not require manual activation – it operates automatically, based on readings from flame, smoke or temperature sensors. Depending on the design of the device and the operating conditions, we select the appropriate extinguishing agent – most often CO₂, argon, nitrogen or Novec-type chemicals. This allows for extinguish live equipment without damaging the electronics or mechanics. In practice, this means one thing – extinguishing before the fire becomes a problem.
Our work focuses on safety in potentially explosive atmospheres. We undertake a range of activities aimed at protecting industrial plants and enterprises against explosions in hazardous areas. We specialise in activities based on the ATEX directive, the resulting Polish legislation and standardisation acts concerning explosion safety.

What our customers say about us
Integration of explosion protection – more than just extinguishing equipment and machinery
When implementing automatic fire extinguishing systems, we often combine them with additional explosion protection measures that increase the effectiveness of protection in ATEX environments. It is not just about extinguishing the fire, but about stopping the entire chain of hazards – from sparking, through pressure increase, to the spread of flames. Therefore, as part of the implementation, we supply and install explosion relief valves, check valves and advanced HRD systems. We supplement this with grounding control systems that prevent electrostatic discharges. All of this works together as an integrated safety system that truly protects people, machines and the plant – not just meets the formal requirements of regulations.
We have over 12 years of experience in the industry.
